About the Israel Inspiration Initiative

The Israel Inspiration Initiative (III) was founded on a simple but profound belief:
Every Jew should have the opportunity to seriously explore the possibility of making Aliyah.
For nearly two thousand years, Jews prayed to return to the Land of Israel. Today, for the first time in history, that dream is within reach for millions of Jews around the world. Yet many never begin the journey—not because they lack the opportunity, but because they lack the inspiration, knowledge, confidence, and long-term planning needed to transform a dream into reality.
The Israel Inspiration Initiative exists to bridge that gap.
Our Mission
Our mission is to inspire, educate, and prepare Jews throughout the world to make Aliyah by combining timeless Torah values with practical planning and a supportive community.
III focuses on the period before the formal Aliyah process begins—helping individuals and families understand why Aliyah matters, explore whether it is right for them, and prepare thoughtfully for a successful transition.
We believe that successful Aliyah begins years before boarding an airplane.
What Makes III Different?
The Israel Inspiration Initiative complements the outstanding work of organizations such as the Jewish Agency for Israel, Nefesh B'Nefesh, Ofek Israeli, and many others.
While these organizations provide essential logistical assistance, III focuses on the equally important questions:
Why should I make Aliyah?
What does the Torah teach about living in Eretz Yisrael?
Is my family spiritually and emotionally prepared?
How can I develop a realistic long-term plan?
What obstacles stand in my way—and how can I overcome them?
By addressing these questions first, families begin the official Aliyah process with greater confidence, stronger commitment, and clearer expectations.

Meet the Founder
Rabbi Paul D. Bloom
Rabbi Paul D. Bloom is the founder of the Israel Inspiration Initiative and author of Coming Home: 101 Reasons to Make Aliyah.
His unique background combines more than five decades of leadership in advanced technology with decades of Torah learning, teaching, and communal leadership.
Before making Aliyah, Rabbi Bloom served in senior executive and technology leadership positions at Bell Laboratories, Bellcore, and IBM Research, where he concluded his corporate career as Chief Technology Officer.
Following Aliyah, he devoted himself to helping inspire other Jewish families to consider making Israel their permanent home.
Rabbi Bloom has studied under many distinguished Torah scholars, including Rabbi Herbert Bomzer zt"l ,Rabbi Aharon Zeigler zt"l, Rabbi Kimche and Rabbi Wein zt”l and continues to teach and write extensively about the central role of Eretz Yisrael in Jewish life.
His weekly articles have appeared in The Jewish Link, and his podcast and lectures reach audiences throughout North America and Israel.
