Bring the Israel Inspiration Initiative to Your Community

Considering Aliyah is a deeply personal journey—but it does not have to be taken alone.

The Israel Inspiration Initiative brings together individuals and families who want to explore the spiritual meaning of Aliyah, learn from others, and begin planning for the future. Whether Aliyah is an immediate goal or still several years away, our community groups provide encouragement, information, and a supportive environment in which to move forward.

Our Community Groups

The Israel Inspiration Initiative currently has groups serving six communities:

  • Bergenfield

  • Fair Lawn

  • Highland Park, Edison and East Brunswick

  • Hillside, Elizabeth and Springfield

  • Upper West Side

  • West Hempstead

Each group is locally organized and shaped around the interests and schedules of its members. Participants may meet monthly, every other month, or whenever works best for their community.

Meetings may include:

  • Conversations about the spiritual meaning of living in Israel

  • Practical guidance for planning Aliyah

  • Guest speakers and experienced olim

  • Discussions about employment, education, housing and finances

  • Opportunities to address concerns and learn from others

  • Encouragement to create a realistic one-, three-, five- or ten-year plan

There is no requirement to be ready to make Aliyah now. The purpose of the group is to help people begin thinking, learning and planning together.

How a New Community Group Begins

The Israel Inspiration Initiative helps launch each new group with an introductory webinar for interested members of the community.

Following the webinar, participants decide:

  • How often they would like to meet

  • Whether meetings will be in person, online or a combination of both

  • Which subjects are most important to their group

  • What speakers, resources and programs would be most helpful

The Israel Inspiration Initiative can provide suggested programs, educational materials, speakers and ongoing guidance. The local group determines the schedule and format that work best for its members.

Bring a Group to Your Community

Would you like to create an Israel Inspiration Initiative group in your community?

You do not need to be an Aliyah expert. We are looking for someone who cares about Israel, enjoys bringing people together, and is willing to serve as the local group leader.

The group leader’s role is to:

  • Help invite interested community members

  • Coordinate the introductory webinar

  • Communicate with participants

  • Help arrange future meetings

  • Serve as the connection between the local group and the Israel Inspiration Initiative

We will work closely with you and provide the support and materials needed to help your group succeed.
